This noble animal and their brave Quichuan Indian shepherds live in the heights of the Peruvian Andes. Most of the fleece sheared from the first clip of an alpaca, in spring time, is classified as Baby Alpaca, which is exceptionally soft to the touch, with a silky sheen. Extremely lightweight and comfortable, Baby Alpaca fibers are highly prized for their remarkable thermal properties.
