nec plus ultra

In fact what is called pure pashmina is simply the dawn undercoat of the sweet goats living with the nomadic tribes on the High Tibetan Plateau of Changthang. The unspeakable softness of its fibers becomes this most precious, rare and fine wool called Pashmina.

In response to the harsh climate of those high altitude plateaus, this particular goat grows this velvety silken undercoat which is carefully separated from the fleece after the shearing spring ritual.

This delicate wool is then sent to the villages in the valleys of Kashmir where the weavers, on traditional looms, create these magnificent jewel color shawls eitherplain or embroidered with threads of radiant silk.

Printed Muslin

Thin, light, warm and very sensual, the muslin made of pure wool is a dream to wear and doesn't wrinkle. This delicate shawl is made by hand, which gives it its great fluidity. The print is then added using techniques that have been kept secret by the weavers in Kashmir.
